How it works
Point the remote at your LG TV, then hold HOME and BACK together for 5 seconds to deregister. Press the scroll wheel (OK) to pair it again. This fixes most Magic Remote failures after firmware updates.
Replace both AA batteries. On non-Magic LG remotes, test the IR emitter through your phone camera — no purple flash while pressing buttons means the remote itself is dead.
